A Poem for the Moon

A translucent sky of twilight time
And crickets singing love songs
A bamboo flute telling fairy tales
Is a pillow for the strong

For the moon that keeps the darkness
Which sails through overcast
Is like an iceberg through the sadness
An incandescent blue romance

You had sapphire eyes and ardent soul,
Your hair streaming like a river
Trailing perfume of evening primrose
A silver gown that slithers

Smile once more like candlelight
Leave a glow and leave it
While blankets keep the peaceful night
And she'll leave a glow and leave it
She’ll leave a glow and leave it
